Mounting Styles

NEMA 56C Face or Flange	Modular Bearingless
(Solid Shaft Coupled) Requires NEMA 56C 4.5" flange adapter (flowerpot) with coupling. Can often be replaced by modular or hollow shaft encoders.	Also known as NEMA 56C/NEMA FC Face Mounted. Requires motor stub shaft and one of the following: 115mm, 4.5", 6.75", 8.5", 12.5" C/FC Face. Avtron's Admotec KA and KX modular encoders do not require a C-Face to mount.	Hollow Shaft vs. Modular

Foot Mounted	Hollow Shaft/Tethered
The foot mounting method is usually used when encoders are coupled directly to rolls, gear boxes, or motors without C-Faces. Can often be replaced by hollow shaft encoders.	A stub shaft is required. Shaft requirements depend on the encoder selected. An Anti-Rotation Arm is required. Torque Arm styles are used for larger motors.	Hollow Shaft vs. Modular
